A man has been arrested following the death of a woman at Northfield last night.
About 8.30pm on Sunday 21 December, police and emergency services were called to a home on West Avenue following reports of a domestic assault.
When police arrived, they found a 36-year-old woman unconscious at the home. Officers immediately commenced CPR but sadly, the woman could not be revived.
Eastern District CIB attended the scene along with Forensic Response crime scene investigators.
A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with murder.
He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
