Police arrest man for robbery, South Australia

Thanks to good work from the public and patrols a man was arrested for an alleged robbery at Prospect early this morning.

Just after 1.30am, Saturday 7 November, police were called to the corner of Main North Road and Ballville Street after reports a taxi driver had been threatened by a man with a knife and his mobile phone and a small amount of cash was stolen. Thankfully the victim was not physically injured.

A good description was given to police and cordons were set up in the area. The suspect was located a short distance away in possession of a knife a the victims mobile phone.

A 27-year-old man from Taperoo was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Court on Monday.
