Police arrest man for series of offending in Melbournes East

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a series of alleged burglaries, thefts and a police vehicle ramming in the eastern suburbs.

The 33-year-old received 25 charges including burglary, theft from motor vehicle, handling stolen goods, obtaining property by deception and aggravated intentional exposure to police officer.

The charges follow a series of alleged offending last December and January in multiple suburbs including Doncaster, Knoxfield, Templestowe, Glen Iris, Mont Albert, Box Hill South, Balwyn, Balwyn North and Caulfield.

The man, of no fixed address, was arrested yesterday at a reserve in Templestowe.

He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
