Police have arrested a man following a pursuit in Geelong overnight.
Officers spotted an allegedly stolen grey Holden wagon in Mandalay Avenue, Armstrong Creek about 12.45am.
They attempted to intercept the Holden but it sped off on police.
Around 1.10am the Holden was spotted in Burvillies Road, Armstrong Creek.
Police kept covert observations on the car until it turned into Compass Way and rammed a stationary police car.
Fortunately the officers were not seriously injured and the Holden drove off through a nearby paddock.
A pursuit was called due to the dangerous driving of occupant of the Holden and the car was followed to Geelong West, Corio and Geelong until police were able to successfully deploy vehicle immobilization devices.
The Holden travelled to Waurn Ponds and stopped near Anglesea Road where police were able to arrest the driver, 21-year-old man from Torquay.
He is currently being interviewed by police.
