Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following an investigation into an alleged text message scam.
Investigators attended a home in Drinkwater Crescent, Sunshine West about 8.20pm on 25 March and arrested a 27-year-old man.
The Sunshine West man has been charged with five counts of obtain property by deception in relation to five alleged incidents that occurred between July and November 2022.
It is also alleged that over $34,000 was obtained by the scam.
He has been bailed to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on 21 September.
