Police have arrested two men following a robbery at Elizabeth East a short time ago.

Just after 2.30pm on Tuesday 26 November, patrols were called to a supermarket on Fletcher Road, after two men threatened staff with a knife before running off with cash and cigarettes.

A witness then followed the suspects to a nearby address where police converged and arrested the pair charging them both with aggravated robbery.

A 20-year-old of no fixed address and his 17-year-old co-accused from Somerton Park have been refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates and Youth Court tomorrow.
