Police Arrest Teen In Stolen Car At Mount Barker

A teenager was arrested in a stolen car at Mount Barker yesterday afternoon.

About 5.30pm on Sunday 8 February, a stolen silver Honda Jazz was seen driving along Adelaide Road at Murray Bridge.

The Honda had been stolen from a Prospect address in the early hours of Saturday before being involved in thefts at Noarlunga later that morning and also at Murray Bridge yesterday.

Patrols didn't pursue the vehicle but kept observations until PolAir could commence tracking from above.

The Honda continued towards Mount Barker on the South Eastern Freeway. It did a u-turn to travel on the incorrect side of the freeway and take the exit onto Bald Hills Road and then along Alexandrina Road.

The vehicle came to a stop on Barratt Avenue at Mount Barker just before 6.30pm and the driver was arrested.

A 17-year-old boy from Murray Bridge was charged with theft, illegal use of a motor vehicle, driving unlicensed and other traffic offences. He did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court later today.
