Brimbank Divisional Response Unit, Embona Taskforce detectives have charged a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old man following alleged thefts and a carjacking in Sunshine north last week.
The carjacking took place on St Andrews Road around 4.45pm on 24 August. The victim was allegedly forced out of his car by the pair, before they drove off in it.
The 18-year-old Kings Park man was charged with carjacking, possess proceeds of crime, commit indictable offence whilst on bail and driving offences, and has been remanded to appear at the Sunshine Magistrates' Court on 8 September.
The 17-year-old Wyndham Vale girl has been charged with robbery, theft, obtain property by deception, possess drug of dependence, and commit indictable offence whilst on bail. She has been remanded to appear at a Children's Court at a later date.
