Police arrest teens after dumping stolen SUV in Cumberland Park, South Australia

Police have arrested three teenagers after they were they allegedly abandoned a stolen SUV in Cumberland Park.

Just before 3.30am, Friday 27 May, patrols were called to Avon Street, after reports of a Toyota SUV being dumped in the street before the group walked off along Edward Street towards Goodwood Road. PD Rusty and his handler were first on scene, locating the trio in Edward Street where they were arrested.

A 14-year-old from Broadview, a 15-year-old from Edwardstown and another 15-year-old from Prospect have all been charged with illegal use. The Broadview and the Prospect teens have been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date while the Edwardstown teen was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court later today.

The SUV was stolen from a Melrose Park address earlier in the night and will be examined by Crime Scene officers later this morning.
