Police arrest teens over street robbery, South Australia

Four youths were quickly arrested following a street robbery in the city last night.

About 9.30pm on Wednesday 31 July, a man was walking along Morphett Street when he was surrounded by a group of teenagers near Gouger Street. The victim was allegedly threatened with a knife, assaulted and robbed of his watch, ear buds and money.

The suspects ran off south, towards Whitmore Square.

The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.

Patrols quickly responded and searched the area, locating four suspects nearby. It will be alleged they were in possession of the victim's stolen property.

Four boys, aged 13, 13, 14 and 16, from the northern suburbs, were all arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. They were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 13 September.
