Police arrest three teens for burglaries and thefts

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged three youth following burglaries, thefts and the theft of a motor vehicle in Melbourne's East yesterday morning.

It's alleged the three attended at fitness centres in Doncaster and Kew East yesterday morning where they stole personal property belonging to the victims including a victim's car keys, credit cards and vehicle.

The trio then allegedly used the stolen credit card at a service station in Box Hill South to purchase goods before being arrested about 8.30am in High Street, Kew.

The trio, aged 17, 16 and 13-years-old, were subsequently charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft, theft of motor vehicle and assaulting police and resisting arrest.

They were remanded in custody and are expected to appear before a children's court later today.
