Police arrest two after post office break-in

Two people have been arrested after a break-in at West Lakes in the early hours of this morning.

Police will allege that about 2.40am today (Monday 2 March) patrols were called to the shopping centre on Turner Drive, after reports that a man and woman had broken into the post office.

The pair fled the scene, but were soon tracked down by Police Dog Axe and his handler.

A large amount of parcels that had been stolen from the post office were recovered nearby.

A 27-year-old man from Seaton and a 31-year-old woman from Morphett Vale were charged with numerous offences aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft. The man was refused bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today, and the woman was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
