Police arrest two after stabbing

Police have arrested two men following a stabbing which occurred in Southbank this morning.

Detectives have been told a fight broke out between two groups of men on the Yarra Promenade about 12.20am.

The situation escalated and three men were stabbed.

A man in his 20s received a stab wound to his chest and stomach, another man in his 20s was stabbed in his arms and a third man in his 20s was stabbed in the back.

Police have arrested two men in their 30s in relation to the incident.

They are currently assisting police with their enquires.
