Police arrest two at football, South Australia

A man and woman have been arrested over an altercation at Adelaide Oval.

Just after 9pm, last night (Friday 19 July) during the Adelaide and Essendon AFL match at Adelaide Oval, police were called by security to an altercation occurring on the eastern side of the oval during the 3rd quarter.

A 26-year-old woman from Sheidow Park was arrested for assault, resisting arrest and failing to provide her details to police. She was also issued a three month barring order preventing her attending Adelaide Oval.

A 26-year-old man from Sheidow Park was also arrested for assault. He was issued with three month barring order preventing him attending Adelaide Oval.

Both have been bailed to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday 30th August.

These were the only two arrests for the night, and police were happy with the overall crowd behavior.
