Police arrest two men after a man was knocked unconscious - Burwood

Two men have been arrested following a brawl outside Burwood Railway Station that's left a man in hospital tonight.

About 11.45pm (Monday 11 March 2019), a fight broke out between two groups of men on Burwood Road, near Railway Crescent, Burwood, resulting in a 29-year-old man being assaulted.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command established a crime scene and spoke to number of men at the scene.

A search commenced for two men who were seen running from the area.

About 12.45am (Tuesday 12 March 2019), two men returned to the railway station and spoke with police.

Both men were arrested at the scene and were taken to Burwood Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries.
