Police arrest woman after assault - Werrington

A woman has been arrested following an incident at Werrington today.

About 4pm (Monday 28 December 2020), emergency services were called to a unit complex on Parkes Avenue, Werrington, after reports of two women fighting.

On arrival police found a woman, aged 37, suffering a head injury. She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment.

Police then entered a neighbouring unit where they located a 43-year-old man unconscious. Officers commenced CPR until the arrival of paramedics however, the man was unable to be revived.

A crime scene has been established inside the unit as investigations into the cause of his death is investigated by officers from Nepean Police Area Command.

As inquiries commenced police attended a home in Kingswood where they arrested a 44-year-old woman.

She was taken to Penrith Police Station where she is currently assisting with inquiries.

It's believed all involved parties are known to each other.
