Police Arrest Woman After Stabbing - South Granville

A woman has been arrested following a stabbing in Sydney's west this morning.

About 11.20am (Thursday 16 October 2025), emergency services were called to a unit block on Chiswick Road, South Granville, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended and found a man had been stabbed in the chest.

The 44-year-old was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Police arrested a 24-year-old woman, who is known to the man, nearby. She was taken to Granville Police Station.

A crime scene has been established, and police have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
