Police arrest woman over charity bucket theft, South Australia

A woman has been arrested over the theft of a charity donation bucket from a Nailsworth business.

A charity coin donation bucket was stolen from a business on Main North Road, Nailsworth on 16 October. The incident was captured on CCTV.

About 2.20pm on Monday 21 October, a police patrol spotted the alleged suspect at a bus stop on Main North Road at Sefton Park and arrested her as she boarded a bus.

The 22-year-old Nailsworth woman was charged with three counts of theft. She was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 26 November.

Police wish to thank the public, in particular the callers to Crime Stoppers, who helped to identify the suspect.
