A 35-year-old male and a 44-year-old female have been arrested following an aggravated robbery that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday.
Around 12:50pm, police received a report of a disturbance on Whittaker Street in Alice Springs. It is alleged a 38-year-old male was refuelling his vehicle when one of the offenders reached into the vehicle and stole his wallet.
The victim attempted to stop the pair from fleeing the area, resulting in an altercation. The victim suffered minor injuries to his head and face.
Members from Strike Force Viper, Southern Traffic Operations, the Dog Operations Unit and general duties immediately deployed, and the 35-year-old male and 44-year-old female were arrested at the scene.
The incident was captured on CCTV, and the stolen wallet was located nearby.
Both offenders have since been charged with Aggravated robbery and Aggravated burglary and are due to appear in court today.
