Police car rear-ended at Para Vista, South Australia

A woman was arrested after crashing into an unmarked police car at Para Vista this afternoon.

Police patrols were searching the area after losing sight of a stolen green Ford Falcon sedan during an earlier brief pursuit at Fairview Park, when an unmarked police car was hit from behind by a blue Mazda SUV.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Nelson Road and Milligan Drive, Para Vista. Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash, but when the patrol activated their emergency lights, the blue SUV took off.

That vehicle was pursued through the backstreets of Ingle Farm before the driver abandoned the car in Nadine Crescent and tried to run away. She was quickly apprehended by police.

The 36-year-old Valley View woman was arrested and is expected to face numerous driving charges.
