Police car struck in Moe

Police are appealing for information following a series of incidents involving a vehicle in Mo, Victoria Police saye

Police located a vehicle with allegedly stolen number plates at a fast food shop in Moe on 1 July about 5.45pm.

The vehicle sped off as police members approached.

Police attempted to intercept the vehicle a short time later near the intersection of Della Torre and Moore Streets.

The vehicle has swerved into the side of the police car causing damage to the front passenger side.

No one was injured during the incident.

The offending vehicle drove off and was later found burnt out in Yallourn North.

The vehicle is also believed to have been involved in a petrol theft at a service station on Moe on 30 June.

The driver of the vehicle is yet to be located so police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
