A teenage driver has been charged following a pursuit from Thomastown to Flowerdale in the early hours of the morning, Victoria Police say.
Police attempted to intercept a car allegedly driving at high speed in Thomastown about 2.55am.
Five youths were eventually arrested in Flowerdale after they allegedly fled from police.
The driver, a 15-year-old boy, was charged with a number of traffic offences including reckless conduct endangering life, driving in a manner dangerous, speeding, evade police.
He will face a children’s court at a later date.
The four passengers, a 13-year-old girl, a 14-year-old girl, a 15-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, were all spoken to and released.
Police investigations determined the car was not stolen.
