A man has been charged with high-range drink driving following a crash in Sydney's south overnight.

About 11.15pm yesterday (Thursday 19 August 2021), police responded to Flora Street, Arncliffe, after reports of a verbal dispute following a crash.

Officers from St George Police Area Command attended and found a Ford Falcon utility had collided with a parked Toyota Corolla.

The Ford driver and sole occupant, a 37-year-old man, was subjected to a roadside breath test returning a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to St George Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.246, more than four times the legal limit.

The Bangor man was charged with drive with high range PCA, and negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm).

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 14 September 2021.

A 25-year-old man seated in the Toyota at the time, suffered minor injuries.
