Police charge driver with high range PCA after crash at Katoomba

A man has been charged with high range PCA following a crash in the Blue Mountains today.

About 6pm (Saturday 18 June 2022), a Skoda Octavia was travelling along Narrow Neck Road, Katoomba, when it lost control and collided with a parked vehicle.

Officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command attended and spoke to a man, establishing he was the driver. He was subjected to a roadside breath test, returning a positive result.

The 30-year-old was arrested and taken to Katoomba Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.300, six times the legal limit.

He was charged with drive with high range PCA, and his licence was suspended.

The Katoomba man is due to appear at Katoomba Local Court on Monday 18 July 2022.
