Police charge five after Hoppers Crossing armed robbery

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged five teenagers after an armed robbery in Hoppers Crossing today.

A 17-year-old male was allegedly led to a Wright Street park by a 15-year-old female about 1.20pm.

When the victim arrived, he was allegedly confronted by four males, with one male allegedly armed with a machete.

The victim had his phone and clothing stolen before the teens fled on foot.

Two 16-year-old boys, two 15-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl were arrested a short time later.

They have since been charged with armed robbery and will appear at a children's court at a later date.
