Police charge five people after two men assaulted during home invasion at Liverpool

Police have now charged five people following investigations into a home invasion in Liverpool last night.

About 10.40pm (Thursday 29 April 2021), officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command were called to a unit on Tindall Avenue, Liverpool, following reports of a home invasion.

Police will allege in court that five people forced entry to the unit and assaulted two male occupants before stealing personal items.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located five people in a vehicle nearby.

They all attempted to flee on foot, before officers arrested four men – two aged 29, one aged 30 and one aged 40 – and a 27-year-old woman. They were taken to Liverpool Police Station where they were all charged with the following offences:

  • the 27-year-old woman was charged with two counts of aggravated break and enter with intent, and aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence.
  • the 29-year-old man was charged with two counts of aggravated enter dwelling with intent, and aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence, and face disguised with intent.
  • the second 29-year-old man was also charged with two counts of aggravated enter dwelling with intent, and aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence, face disguised with intent, and two counts of assault police.
  • the 30-year-old man was charged with two counts of aggravated enter dwelling with intent, aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence, and face disguised with intent.
  • the 40-year-old man was charged with two counts of aggravated enter dwelling with intent and aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence.

They have all been refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 1 May 2021).
