Police charge four men with drug-related offences across Sydney

Four men have been charged following ongoing investigations into the alleged supply of cocaine in Sydney under Strike Force Coota.

Strike Force Coota was established by officers from St George Police Area Command's Drug Team in March 2022, to investigate the alleged large scale drug supply across the St George and Sydney Central Metropolitan areas.

Following investigations, officers attached to St George Police Area Command, with assistance from Bass Hill Region Enforcement Squad, executed search warrants at homes in Campsie, Greenacre, Condell Park and Earlwood about 7am yesterday (Thursday 30 June 2022).

During the search warrants, police located a number of items including an illicit substance believed to be cocaine, drug paraphernalia, motor vehicles, electronic devices, and more than $24,500 in cash.

Those items have been seized for forensic examination.

Four men were arrested during the search warrants and taken to Bankstown Police Station.

A 24-year-old Campsie man was charged with 11 offences including:

- Knowingly direct activities of criminal group,

- Supply prohibited drug >indictable &

- Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime,

- Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity,

- Organises/conducts/assists drug premises, and

- Supply prohibited drug >= large commercial quantity.

A 21-year-old Condell Park man was charged with 30 offences including:

- Supply prohibited drug >small &

- Supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis

- Dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception

- Supply prohibited drug >indictable &

- Participate criminal group contribute criminal, and

- Supply prohibited drug >= commercial quantity.

A 23-year-old Earlwood man was charged with five offences including:

- Knowingly direct activities of criminal group,

- Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity,

- Supply prohibited drug >indictable &

- Deal with property proceeds of crime

A 25-year-old Greenacre man was charged with six offences including:

- Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime,

- Supply prohibited drug >indictable &

- Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

Police will allege in court the four men were involved in a drug supply syndicate which operated with a customer base of more than 1,200 people.

All four men were refused bail and will appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Friday 1 July 2022).
