Police charge man after 79-year-old woman assaulted in Dandenong

Police have charged a man after a 79-year-old woman was assaulted in Dandenong last month.

It is alleged the man assaulted the woman on Walker Street about 9.40am on Tuesday, 14 June.

The 79-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 27-year-old Dandenong man has been charged with intentionally and recklessly causing injury, aggravated assault of a female and unlawful assault.

He has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 30 July.
