Police charge man after armed robbery at service station in Warrnambool

Warrnambool Divisional Tasking Team detectives along with Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 28-year-old man following an armed robbery at a service station in Warrnambool this morning.

It is alleged a man entered the premises on Raglan Parade and threatened the attendant with a knife around 12.07am, then fled the scene with an alleged quantity of cash.

A search warrant was executed at a Warrnambool address later in the morning, where detectives seized a quantity of cash, and a man was arrested around 10.15am.

A Warrnambool man has been charged with armed robbery.

He is expected to face an out-of-sessions court hearing tonight.
