Police Charge Man After Assault At Auburn Train Station

A man has been charged following an alleged assault at a train station in Sydney's west late last year.

About 9am on Saturday 29 November 2025, emergency services were called to Auburn Railway Station following a report of an assault.

Police were told a man allegedly assaulted a 24-year-old woman while she was leaving the train station.

Officers attached to Police Transport Command North West Sector commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, on Monday (23 February 2026), police attended a home on Dartbrook Road, Auburn, where a 49-year-old man was arrested.

The man was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice charged with common assault; he is due to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 15 April 2026.

Police will allege in court the man approached the woman and slapped her on the cheek before he left.
