Police Charge Man After Assault Of Boy At Blacktown

A man has been charged after he allegedly assaulted a boy in Sydney's west earlier this year.

About 3.10pm (Friday 30 May 2025), police were told a 13-year-old boy was travelling on a train between Blacktown and Werrington when he was allegedly assaulted by another passenger.

The boy suffered minor injuries.

Officers attached to the North West Police Transport Command commenced an inquiry.

About 3:30pm yesterday (Tuesday 1 July 2025), police attended a home in Burringora Street, Werrington, and arrested an 18-year-old man.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court today, Wednesday 2 July 2025.
