Police charge man after Bayswater assaults

Police have charged a man following two alleged assaults in Bayswater yesterday.

The incident occurred on a platform at the Bayswater railway station just after 4pm.

It is alleged the 34-year-old Lilydale man confronted a man and woman walking down the platform and assaulted them.

The 50-year-old woman and 48-year-old man were treated on scene with varying non-life threatening injuries.

The Lilydale man has been charged with intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault, assault police and resist police.

He has been bailed to appear at the Ringwood Magistrates' Court on 16 April 2020.
