Police charge man after Brunswick stabbing

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man with attempted murder, following a stabbing in Brunswick on Monday 18 October.

The 20-year-old Brunswick man was charged with attempted murder, intentionally and recklessly causing serious injury, making threats to kill and theft.

He is expected to be remanded before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon.

The charges follow an incident where two men were allegedly stabbed in a supermarket on Sydney Road about 8am.

Both victims were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
