Police Charge Man After Cranbourne Collision

Dandenong Achilles Taskforce officers have charged a man following an alleged collision in Cranbourne last week.

Police will allege a green Ford Mustang accelerated towards a group of pedestrians following a verbal altercation in a Thompsons Road carpark on Saturday, 16 March about 6.30pm.

Officers have been told the Mustang subsequently collided with the group, before allegedly fleeing the scene.

A 23-year-old Bittern woman was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Mustang, a 24-year-old Cranbourne man, has been charged with a number of traffic offences including reckless causing injury and fail to stop after collision.

He has been bailed to appear before Frankston Magistrates' Court at a later date.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and the Cranbourne man is assisting police with their enquiries.
