Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to a fatal hit-run in Dingley Village last week.
Emergency services were called to Spring Road after reports of a man's body being located around 4.30am on 20 December by a passer-by.
A 53-year-old Dingley Village man died at the scene.
A 19-year-old Dandenong South man handed himself into police this afternoon and has been charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death and fail to stop and render assistance.
He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
