Police charge man after Eastern Freeway collision

Detectives from Taskforce Paragon have charged a 49-year old Frankston man in relation to the Eastern Freeway fatal collision where four police officers were killed on 22 April.

The man was arrested in Lyndhurst today about 9.20am.

He has been charged with four counts of manslaughter and is expected to appear before an out of sessions hearing tonight.

The arrest follows an extensive 3-month investigation led by Road Policing Operations and Investigation Division with the assistance of specialist investigators from across Victoria Police.
