Police charge man after fatal Arcadia South mini-bus crash

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 75-year-old man following a fatal crash in Arcadia South last year.

The Gunbower man has been charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death, negligently causing serious injury, dangerous driving causing serious injury and reckless conduct endangering life.

The charges following a mini-bus rollover on Murchison-Violet Town Road on 20 May 2021.

One passenger, a 40-year-old Echuca woman, sadly died at the scene.

At the time, three passengers were airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries and six passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The man was bailed by police yesterday to appear before Shepparton Magistrates' Court today.
