Police Charge Man After Fatal Stabbing In Clyde

Detectives from the Homicide Squad have this afternoon charged a man with murder following a fatal stabbing in Clyde yesterday afternoon.

A 27-year-old Clyde man was charged with one count of murder and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.

The charge follows an incident where emergency services were called at approximately 3.30pm to reports of a two-car collision at the intersection of Clyde-Five Ways and Railway Roads in Clyde.

Upon Ambulance Victoria's arrival it was identified that a passenger in the vehicle, a 36-year-old Endeavour Hills man, had a number of stab wounds to the upper body.

He was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

Police will allege two men were previously involved in an altercation at a property on Carrera Crescent where the Endeavour Hills man was stabbed.

A 27-year-old Clyde man was arrested on Carrera Crescent around 4.50pm.
