Police charge man after Haymarket assault

A man has been charged with sexual touching and offensive behaviour after an incident at a Sydney market in March.

About 5pm on Sunday 31 March 2019, two women, aged 30 and 25, were indecently assaulted by a man while shopping in Haymarket.

The matter was reported to officers from Sydney City Police Area Command who launched an investigation.

About 12.50pm today (Tuesday 14 May 2019), a 58-year-old man attended Day Street Police Station and was arrested.

He was charged with three counts of sexual touching and one count of offensive behaviour.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 5 June 2019.
