Police charge man after Hillside pursuit

A man has been charged after he was caught driving an alleged stolen vehicle in Melbourne's north-west Thursday night.

The 33-year-old Bacchus Marsh man has been charged with thefts, burglary, reckless conduct endangering serious injury and traffic offences.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 18 January.

The charges are after the man was seen driving an alleged stolen car on Falcon Drive Melton on Thursday, 13 January.

The alleged stolen car was followed by the Air Wing before ground units successfully deployed stop sticks in Hillside.

The driver continued on for a short time before crashing into parked cars and fleeing the scene.

He was arrested a short distance away.
