Police charge man after investigations into 2019 public place shooting - Balmain

A man will face court today following investigations into a public place shooting in Sydney's Inner West last year.

About 9pm on Thursday 29 August 2019, police were called to Pearson Street, Balmain, following reports of shots fired.

Officers from Leichhardt Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation under Strike Force Bemix.

Following extensive inquiries, Balmain detectives attended a house on Corrie Road, North Manly, where they arrested a 22-year-old man yesterday (Thursday 26 November 2020).

The man was taken to Dee Why Police Station where he was charged with discharge firearm etc with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Manly Local Court today (Friday 27 November 2020).

Inquiries are continuing.
