Police charge man after investigations into break and enter - Mays Hill

A man has been charged following extensive investigations into the alleged break and enter of a home at Mays Hill last week.

Police will allege in court that on Thursday 1 August 2019, a man jumped the fence and smashed the window of a home on Burnett Street, Mays Hill, before entering and stealing a number of items.

After police were notified, an investigation was commenced by officers attached to the Cumberland Proactive Crime Team.

Following inquiries, police attended a property on Clyde Street, Guildford about 9am yesterday (Monday 5 August 2019), where a 41-year-old man was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station.

About 2pm, a search warrant was executed at the same Guildford property, where police seized a number of items allegedly linked to the break and enter.

The man was charged with break and enter house etc steal, and dispose property-theft.

He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Tuesday 6 August 2019).
