Police have charged a man following extensive inquiries and a public appeal into an alleged indecent assault on a Sydney bus earlier this year.

On Friday 12 April 2019, detectives from The Hills Police Area Command commenced inquiries after a woman reported a sexual act performed on her on a bus from Town Hall bound for Rouse Hill.

Following inquiries and an appeal for public assistance, a 32-year-old man was arrested after attending Mt Druitt Police Station.

He was charged with sexually touch another person without consent (x2), and assault with act of indecency, and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 14 August 2019.

It will be alleged in court the man performed a sexual act on the same woman while on a bus in July of 2018.
