Police charge man after Kangaroo Flat death

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a woman in Kangaroo Flat on Sunday night.

A 44-year-old Junortoun man was charged this afternoon with murder.

He has been remanded in custody to face Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 2 November.

The charge follows an incident on 29 October where a 46-year-old Kangaroo Flat woman was fatally injured.

Emergency services had been called to a High street property shortly after 11.50pm and found the woman unresponsive.

She was conveyed to hospital but passed away a shortly time later.

Two primary school aged children found in the home at the time were not physically injured.

The 44-year-old man was subsequently arrested with the assistance of the Air Wing about 5am on 30 October, in a reservoir near Harcourt North Road.

The parties involved were known to each other.
