Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an alleged ram-raid in Moorabbin earlier this week.
Police will allege two men used a black Holden Cruz to ram the entrance of a business on Bignell Road about 2.45am on Tuesday, 12 August.
Officers have been told the pair allegedly stole a number of items from the business including electronic devices, before fleeing the scene in a Toyota Landcruiser.
Police on patrol spotted the Landcruiser travelling along on Beach Road in Sandringham about 3.40am.
With the assistance of the Air Wing, police followed the vehicle to Longwarry North.
The Landcruiser came to a stop on Sands Road, where the driver was arrested at the scene.
The 37-year-old Cranbourne North man has since been charged with 30 offences including several counts of burglary, theft, criminal damage, theft of motor vehicle, drive whilst disqualified, dangerous driving while pursued by police, reckless conduct endanger life and commit indictable offence while on bail.
He was remanded to appear before Moorabbin Magistrates' Court on 21 August.
Police continue to make enquiries in relation to the second male offender, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone with CCTV/dashcam footage from the Moorabbin Industrial Estate and surrounding areas including South Road, Chesterville Road, Keys Road and Warrigal Road between 1am and 3am on Tuesday morning.
