Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following a fatal assault in Morwell Saturday morning.
Emergency services were called to Buckley Street around 12.30am and located a man in the street with life-threatening injuries.
The 19-year-old Churchill man was conveyed to hospital, however he passed away.
A 20-year-old Morwell man has been charged with one count of murder.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Latrobe Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning.
