A man has been charged following a string of break and enters in the state's Mid North Coast.
Proactive Crime Team officers attached to the Mid North Coast commenced investigations following reports of break and enters around the Kempsey area between March and June 2025.
Following extensive investigations, yesterday (Thursday 28 August 2025), Coffs Clarence Police District officers arrested a 22-year-old man at a home on Woodford Dale Road, Woodford Island.
The man was taken to Grafton Police Station where he was charged with nine counts of break and enter house etc steal value less than $60,000.
He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court, Court 1, yesterday (Thursday 28 August 2025), where he was granted conditional bail to appear before Kempsey Local Court on Thursday 11 September 2025.
Police will allege that the man used tools to force entry into numerous unoccupied homes in the Kempsey area, stealing valuables and leaving the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
