Police Charge Man After Officers Assaulted - St Marys

A man will face court today after three officers were allegedly assaulted.

About 9pm yesterday, (Sunday 9 November 2025), police were called to a business in Chapel Street, St Marys, following reports a man had allegedly damaged property.

The man left the scene prior to police arrival.

A short time later, he was located on Queens Street, St Marys.

While officers were attempting to speak to the man, he allegedly became aggressive.

During the arrest, three officers were allegedly assaulted, including a 26-year-old male Constable, a 31-year-old male Constable and a 28-year-old female Senior Constable.

The 26-year-old male officer was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for face and arm injuries before being taken to Nepean Hospital in a stable condition.

A 36-year-old man was arrested and taken to St Mary's Police Station where he was charged with:

  • assault police officer in execution of duty cause actual bodily harm,
  • assault police officer in execution of duty without actual bodily harm (two counts),
  • hinder/resist law enforcement officer in execution of duty,
  • larceny,
  • destroy or damage property

He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today, Monday 10 November 2025.
