Police charge man after police seize child abuse material - Watsons Bay

A Watsons Bay man has been charged over alleged possession of child abuse material.

Last Saturday (7 December 2019), police were notified of alleged child abuse material in an apartment on Old South Head Road, Watsons Bay.

About 3pm the same day, detectives attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended the unit and were granted entry to the home where they located numerous framed images alleged to be child abuse material. A search warrant was executed, and multiple items were seized.

The alleged owner of the material was not present at the time.

About 10.30am yesterday (Friday 13 December 2019) a 65-year-old man was arrested at Waverley Police Station.

He was charged with four counts of possess child abuse material.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 14 December 2019).
