Police Charge Man After Pursuit At Gosford

A man will face court today charged following an alleged pursuit that ended outside a police station last week.

About 3.15am on Thursday 16 July 2026, police attempted to stop a vehicle on Wallarah Road, Gorokan.

When the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit continued to Gosford where road spikes were successfully deployed.

The vehicle came to a stop a short time later on Mann Street, outside Gosford Police Station.

The driver allegedly refused police directions to exit the vehicle, and officers used a baton to smash a window before removing the driver from the car.

The 51-year-old man was taken inside Gosford Police Station where he was charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously.

He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Gosford Local Court today (Tuesday 21 July 2026).
